Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated 2026-11-04
We want you to be happy with your book. A book you paid for starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. Here is when you can get your money back, and what to do if something goes wrong.
1. A book not made yet: full refund
If you paid for a book that hasn't been started yet, you can get a full refund within 14 days of paying. Just email [email protected] from the address on your account.
2. A page we couldn't draw
If a page of a book you paid for can't be drawn, even after we try it again, the book shows a placeholder page. Write to us at [email protected]: we look at every request by hand and answer by email. Depending on what happened, we may draw the page again, give you another book, refund you, or more than one of these. If our safety checks refuse your story before any of its pictures is started, your payment goes back to your account for another book of the same size: change the idea and try again, at no extra cost. Within 14 days of paying, you can ask for that payment's refund instead.
3. After your book is started
By paying at checkout, you agree that your book starts being made, or its PDF is delivered, as soon as you've paid. Once it has started, you lose any right to cancel you may have for that purchase. If something went wrong on our side, for example files that won't open or a book you couldn't download, write to us: we look into it and put it right, by fixing it, giving you another book or refunding you.
4. Cancelling a purchase
A book is a one-time payment, not a subscription, so nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel later. To cancel a book that hasn't been started, ask for the refund above. If a payment was taken but your book wasn't made, write to us and we will make it or refund you in full.
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. If you paid through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, the refund comes from them. If you paid in India through Cashfree Payments, TuckJoy is the seller and refunds you through the same company. Once a payment is refunded, it can no longer pay for a book.
6. Accounts closed for misuse
Closing an account for breaking our acceptable use rules does not by itself entitle you to a refund.
